Until recently, I though teleseminars served only a few good uses. I knew they were an excellent way to earn hefty commissions; by interviewing an expert and promoting their high end products before, and throughout the teleseminar. I also knew they were an excellent way to build credibility with your list members; by associating with the experts in your field. And I knew you could bring new members to your list very quickly and get some substantial free website traffic by having those people you were interviewing drive their list members to the sign-up page, which was basically an opt-in to your list.
But what I failed to realize was the true potential they served for bringing in continuous streams of free website traffic after the event, through proper utilization of the recorded call. There are seven specific strategies that interlace for the most profound results, but I only have room to cover one in this article, and so I've chosen to address the ever popular Social Media sites, such as Facebook and MySpace. You can use a teleseminar call you already have recorded, or you can do a new call. This could be a recording of you interviewing an expert, you yourself being interviewed, a group call or just a recording of you discussing a topic. The layout and content for the call is entirely up to you, so be creative if needed. You could go so far as to use a recorded call that you simply have rights to. You don't need to be in it at all (although it does build credibility). But again it depends on what you're trying to do in addition to just getting some free website traffic. The layout for the site that you'll be sending the free website traffic to is very simple. It will consist of a Thank You page where the member can download the call, and a Squeeze Page where you will actually be sending people to. This page needs to have nothing more than a list of benefits downloading the call will provide, and an opt-in box where the guests can enter in their name and email address. Once their address is confirmed, they'll be taken to the Thank You page for delivery. It's really that simple!
Now the easy part... have a transcription of the call prepared (very quick and inexpensive through sites such as elance.com), and convert that call into a set of articles to be posted to your Social Media pages. Use keyword dense headlines and body copy and provide valuable content. I know we said free website traffic... but it's worth the $20 to have someone else do it!
Do not add too much hype or make it sound like a pitch. We're merely trying to give a sample of the free download/replay in order to peak interest. At the end of the content post, simply put a link that says something like: "I hope you enjoyed this excerpt from my Traffic Secrets conference call that was a special one time event! It can get you on the way to more free website traffic! If you'd like immediate access to the free recording of the entire call, simply visit http://www.yoursqueezepage.com."
You could also start your own group in Facebook and post a number of these types of posts so long as they are highly relevant, content driven and provide good value. You'll be gaining fans very quickly if you do it right. This is an incredible free website traffic source, and with the millions of new members joining these types of sites weekly, you're going to have a hard time keeping up with all of the new traffic to your site. And best of all it's free website traffic that is already pre-sold and really wants to hear what you have to say! It doesn't get any better than that!
